The CU Muslim Alumni Association was founded in Spring 2009. A Constitution was chartered in Fall 2010 by an interim board and was approved by majority vote by the constituents of the CU-MAA. Elections shortly thereafter with board members elected to the six positions established in the Constitution: Chairperson, Treasurer, University Alumni Liaison, Muslim Community Liaison, Membership Director, and Communications Director. Elections are held annually as per the bylaws of the Constitution. Since its inception, the membership of the CU-MAA has grown steadily and currently includes over 220 members.
